Interested in a career in Law? Then please contact us with details of your qualifications and experience.
We are often asked just how does someone get to be in a such position of trust and responsibility as a member of the legal profession.
A career in Law is very similar to one in Medicine. A typical Solicitor will have undergone the following basic academic training:
* Bachelor of Laws degree (LLB) - 3 years
* Legal Practise Course (LPC) - 1 year
* Training Contract - 2 years 'on the job' training
Only after this 6 year period will a trainee will be classed as a Solicitor.
Of course, there are a variety of jobs within the legal profession which involve more/less training. Anyone wishing to pursue a career in the legal profession should consider the following:
* Legal Executive (ILEX)
* Paralegal
* Legal Consultant
* Barrister
