Changes to IHT / NRB...
The Mental Health Act...
New Clients...
Inheritance Tax Allowances:
Following the Government's changes in IHT law, any Will drafted with Discretionary Will Trusts may now not be the best option. It is best to re-assess your situation following these changes in the law. Furthermore, anyone who has died and not used their Nil Rate Band may be able to help their loved ones avoid IHT. Don't forget, you have up to 2 years after someone has died to change their Will for the benefit of the living relatives.
Mental Health Act:
Following the introduction of the Mental Health Act, there have been changes to Enduring Power of Attorney documents; the introduction of the Lasting Power of Attorney documents and Clients must be aware the the changes in the law may affect any Living Will / Advanced Decision documents.
New Clients:
Over the year, we have been glad to welcome several high profile Clients including Bristol Memorial Woodlands, an immigration facilitation service in Fleet Street, London as well as a Client whose claim is valued at over £10 million. In addition however we would like to thank all of our Clients who have remained loyal to us over the last few years.
